Conversation Overheard in a Veterinarian’s Waiting Room
Sometimes it’s great to have a “preacher” in your waiting room.
As we were waiting for X-rays to process on the little Yorkie with back problems we asked his owner to have a seat in the waiting room so we could use the time to see another patient.
As it happened, there was another Yorkie in the waiting room, a young puppy, and it was time for us to have a discussion about him being at the right age to be neutered.
Enter the “preacher”.
Mike likes to talk, and he began to visit with the other Yorkie owners. He began to extol the advantages of having a young puppy neutered. “Best thing I ever did! I don’t know why I didn’t have my previous boy dogs neutered! Deogie has an even disposition, he’s never urinates around the house marking his territory, he’s never run out of the house to chase a girl dog, he’s just a perfect gentleman!
Needless to say, I had an easy time with my discussion about getting the other Yorkie puppy neutered.
While not everything you overhear in a veterinarian’s waiting room is reliable, Mike was sure “preaching” the right message today!
See you tomorrow, Dr. Randolph
