How much would you pay for a dog?
Here, in the richest country in the world, several million dogs and cats are euthanized each year because there are not enough homes for all of them.
That number grows every day, mostly because people won’t have their pets spayed and neutered.
How many times have our clients said to us, “If I were independently wealthy I would buy land and keep every dog and cat I ran across.”?
Then, there are people like this lady, known to us only as Mrs. Wang. Very likely Mrs. Wang is independently wealthy, as she ordered a thirty-car motorcade to meet her as she was delivered an 18-month old Tibetan mastiff in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, China.
The reported purchase price was $585,000.
Prior to Mrs. Wang’s dog the most expensive known pet purchase was a Labrador retriever ordered cloned by a Florida family. They paid about $150,000.
See you Monday, Dr. Randolph.
