Are your pets attentive to you when you are ill? Most are.
In fact, I think most pets like any excuse for being in the bed with us.

I recently had an acute-onset gastrointestinal upset. Rather than get into gory details we’ll just leave it at that. I woke up at 2:30 AM on a Friday morning and ended up in bed for most of the next three days.
That suited Martha just fine. Since she has been ill, our bed is her favorite place anyway. My side of the bed is Martha’s regular nighttime spot. She usually starts out on me, then I find her next to my left leg the next morning.
Martha was quite attentive for this illness. As she has been for the last 17½ years whenever I have felt bad. She got up to eat, drink and use the litterbox, then she was right back in the bed again.
Willie? He didn’t care. He had his Mommy to keep him occupied.
