For those of you following the story of Redmen’s “departure,” today is a day of rejoicing.
Redmen the therapy dog is home!

I got the call this morning and a happier Joan Webb there has never been. Here’s what happened:
Joan was at her daughter’s house when a man left a message on her answering machine. He said he was a friend of the man who claimed Redmen was his at the Dollar General store. That man had found himself unable to care for the little Pomeranian, so he gave him to the caller.
The second man said that he saw a picture of Redmen on a “missing dog” poster at Neco’s grocery store, which is in the northern part of Hancock County, about 15 miles from the Dollar General where Redmen was picked up. When he found out that someone owned the little dog and wanted him back, he wanted to be sure he found his way home.
A local physician, who prefers to remain anonymous, had offered a $1000.00 reward for Redmen’s safe return. Having seen how much improvement his patients made when Redmen visited them, the doctor wanted Red to be able to continue his service.

Joan and her supporters had raised another $500.00
How sad when you have to pay to get your own dog back!
What a joy to have this precious baby back home.
See you tomorrow, Dr. Randolph.
That is great news!
