Cute, cute, cute!
After Catherine’s osteosarcoma diagnosis and subsequent passing, her “sister,” Sara, went into a deep funk.
Most dogs and cats snap out of their depression quickly when a disruption such as loss of a roommate occurs, but Sara’s unhappiness seemed to linger and linger.

Another of our clients had adopted Hoagee from a Golden Retriever rescue group, and Sara’s family considered doing that. Somewhere along the way, though, it just felt right to them to get a new puppy.
So, this morning, we got to meet “Little Catherine” for the first time, and isn’t she adorable? We gave her a thorough physical examination, on which all of the results were good, found roundworms on her stool test, treated those, and began her vaccinations.
Sara, who is a little over six years of age, has accepted Little Catherine and even begun to play with her some.
We would say she is on her way to a full recovery.

See you Monday, Dr. Randolph.
