The Last Great Dane Puppy Has A Home

We’ve gone from eleven to one. And that’s a good thing.

Here are photos on the litter’s original visit, less than 24 hours old. How cute, but how tiny they were then, especially compared to Mom, Addison, who weighs in at 128.6 pounds (that’s 58.5 Kg for our international readers). You may see her photo here, along with the puppies at six weeks of age. Their weight ranges then were 12 1/4 pounds to 16 1/4 pounds.

They had that much gain from when they were only three weeks of age, viewed here, and weighed 3 pounds 6 ounces to 5 pounds 5 ounces!

Sparrow is shown on the left, Harley on the right.

All the pups will be growing exponentially to their adult weights of one hundred pounds plus over the next two years.

Sparrow, pictured on the left, has gone to her new home now, and is shown here having obtained her 9-week examination and vaccinations.

Harley, on the other hand, will be staying at home, so you will have many opportunities to follow her growth and medical visits. Her name is serendipitous because my most favorite waitress in the whole world, Margaret, who has Great Danes, has a daughter named Harley!

See you tomorrow, Dr. Randolph.
